Seared Salmon with Lemon-Dill Sauce

Salmon is full of healthy Omega-3s as well as being a lean source of protein. This is an easy recipe for a weeknight meal–that’s also elegant enough to be served if you are having guests. Enjoy!

Seared Salmon with Lemon-Dill Sauce

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 jar of Gargano & Co Lemon-Caper Piccante Sauce
  • Sea Salt
  • Fresh dill

Preheat oven to 350. Heat a medium ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Pat salmon dry and sprinkle on both sides with sea salt. When the oil is hot, add salmon skin-side down. Sear until the skin is golden brown and slightly crispy. This should take about 5 minutes. Turn the salmon and transfer to oven to finish.

While the salmon is in the oven heat 1 cup of Gargano & Co’s Lemon-Caper sauce in a saucepan on the stove over medium high heat. When it comes to a simmer add 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill and simmer for another minute or two.

Cook the salmon for an an additional 5-6 minutes for medium-rare or about 9-10 minutes for well done. Let rest for 2 minutes. Spoon warm lemon-dill sauce over the top and serve with rice and steamed green beans or broccoli. Serves 2.
